I checked ExpertFlyer for 24 May NH184 and it shows lots of seats in each class. Premium economy seems to be the most full by percentage (I think, I didn't really do the math). So there is still hope!

wow. booked the earliest F class award space on ANA A380 on June 7th (NRT-HNL).
Next available F in that direction is June 26th, and then July 14th....
Wide open in late July and August onwards.

24th May is a gonner. no revenue or award seats being released in any cabin NRT-HNL.
Economy on the reverse HNL-NRT on 24th May is available.
The bigger news is, F class availability is open!!!

I am still waiting to call ANA in Paris with very little hope that they open the inaugural to us mere mortals.
If they say no avail I will book 24 May NH 183 in Premium Economy one-way.
I will do the NRT-HNL flight in the back of the bus with whatever airline connecting via anywhere using a UA saver award + taxes. I will get me a little more time in Hawaii.

I will be in Premium Economy with a window seat facing Waikiki on departure. Trying to figure out the A380 massive wing so my view is not blocked.
Will have to get my self-designed special tee shirt signed by the flight deck crew.
An inflatable Honu will be most appreciated.
I will wait and see if they release 24 May NH184 economy seats. I am sure no VIPs will want to be in the lower deck. They will leave all the tight seats for the plebs. Then I can do a turnaround.

Yup! I bought myself a seat on the United website. The fare wasn't bad at all. Got it for 620 Euros including taxes.

I changed my Premium cabin seat for another window seat a further down the cabin I will be doing some serious photography.
A380 has massive wings so you either have to be up front or down the back not to have your view partially or fully blocked by the wings either side.
This is one thing to consider if you want to get good pictures.
