If so, how was the service and drink refills. How was the food? Has it gone from hot to cold? Thanks,

no lonhaul flights, but MUC-FCO and FCO-MUC - service restrictions were drinkwise - only water in a bottle was offered. nothing else. food was O.K. -but no hot pasta.

I’m debating flying either Alitalia Magnifica or Delta One from JFK-Rome in the middle of August. I’ve flown them both previously and I would be fine with either, although the food and wine on Alitalia is my favorite.
Because there is a very low price right now round trip to my final destination in Italy, I feed a bit of pressure to book sooner v later. I have called Alitalia and they just don’t know when service will be back to normal, which I understand. Delta, on the other hand, is clearly getting back to normal with their domestic service in the middle of April which leads me for hope that Delta One service will approach normal soon after.

FCO to JFK in 1 week on magnifica. Hope to be able to fly and then will post.
For service and food, hands down AZ
For chances it will still be in business in 5 months, DL
Not sure non-EU citizens will be allowed by then. Hope so, 1/2 of my family holds a us passport

FCO JFK in Magnifica last week
Only mini bottles of Prosecco for alcohol, and not even good prosecco
No soft drinks, only natural water minibottles
Main meal: three ravioli and two small stripes of meat, pre packed, smaller than typical economy tray, one piece of prepacked parmigiano, one cracker, one minicup of sweet something
Second meal: one small inedible roll filled with 700 degree hot red sauce and one mini sweet snack. Quantity and quality well below typical economy meal
no AZ lounge in fco, only voucher for ‘breakfast’ at Kimbo snack bar
Premium Plaza Lounge (PriorityPass) open in FCO with more or less usual service-thats where I had some real food for the last time before JFK

Food was absolutely awful, but the service was darling so don't bet on the "food".
I'd do whatever you could to fill up pre-flight and treat whatever you get onboard as an optional snack.

Yup, our experience yesterday was largely the same. Although the flight crew were very nice and didn't hesitate when asked for more prosecco (which one really did need to get through the terrible food). Flew Air France on the way over and the difference was striking. Trays covered in linens, china and real knives and forks, PD champagne, bar service, etc. Almost like pre-covid. Really no good reason for such a shabby service by AZ (well, I guess one reason $$$)

Just booked a ticket on the new ITA in Business Class and the menu's they have posted look amazing... but I can't find any first hand accounts of actual food/service online to vouch for their new service. Anyone have any experience with this?
