Exit Row -- need to speak Italian?

I was surprised to be able to select the exit rows on an upcoming flight at no charge. Does Alitalia require Italian language ability to sit in an exit row?

I sat there from JFK to FCO and there was no language requirement. Just the requirement that I pay extra money.

Probably a mistake, they already had some of us in seated in business class which I assumed would get canceled, so I moved those over age 17 to an exit row.

Believing is putting your faith or trust in something that you yourself see as the truth. However it may not be the truth.
Knowing is being certain of something no matter what your personal opinions are. It normally is a proven true fact.
