New Magnifica - Business Class from US?
I am traveling to Rome in May 2011 and see that Alitalia has revamped new Business Class on "intercontinental" flights from Milan. Anyone have any idea if this new Business Class will be offered on Boston, JFK or Miami flights to FCO anytime in the near future? I have checked www.seatguru.com and don't even see A330 aircraft listed in Aliltalia fleet. Thank you for any info you can provide.

Yes it's true and the 330 will be installed on the FCO-JFK route on some rotations as of this winter. There are rumours that the 772's will be refurbished to have the same J as the 330's as well. Lastly, be sure not to get on the 332 (which has an Air One logo) as it is very very notorious for various reasons.

As far as I can tell from looking recently for myself...
JFK/ROME route has an option for a 330 on the return to JFK only, not the way there. JFK/LIN offer it round trip.

The notorious 332's are expected to continue operating the FCO-EWR indefinitely, except for a few weeks in the winter in which the route will be covered by a 764. Hopefully the 332's will be refurbished at this time, and the fact that a 764 will be available during that time mean that these 764's will be in unintensive use ready for phase-out.

Btw, I'm not an insider or anything, all route schedule/aircraft information can be checked using Alitalia TravelDesk, which is updated monthly and avaiable here:
