Anchorage ANC - for one full day
 

I'm in Anchorage near the end of April this year for one full day (arriving at midnight and departing the following midnight). What are items not to miss?
If nice weather should I plan on a day trip somewhere?

Denali looks too far for just a day unless there is a charter flight I could take.
Kenai looks closer.

have read about Wayne's BBQ in Anchorage ( http://www.waynesbbq.us/ ), anyone been?

Drive the scenic Seward Highway south to Girdwood. Start with a glass of wine atop the ski lift at Alyeska, then get thee to the Double Musky for an excellent cajun dinner. I'm wearing my Double Musky sweatshirt right now, in fact. Portage Glacier is within range, as well.
