ANC Traffic Up Significantly
 

(Anchorage-AP) -- The Anchorage international airport says the number of passengers have increased since last year. The airport counted 407,873 passengers this May, compared to 357,094 in May 2003. Airport director Morton Plumb Junior says more flights are coming into Anchorage, which he attributes to a stronger economy and stronger traveler confidence. Plumb says China Airlines began its 5-day-a-week summer flight in April instead of July, as it normally does. Frontier Airlines also added a new flight to and from Denver. Plumb says cargo numbers have also increased since the beginning of the year.
