Car Rental In Anchorage
 

I have points with Hertz. I want to rent a Mini Van in Anchorge June 2012(not at airport). I was told the following from hertz: Mini Van for 10 days, 8,000 points + $400?

I will be returning to same location.

Does this sound correct for Alaska wnen you use points?

It looks like with a paid rental with Hertz in Anchorage, there are about $400 in various taxes and fees. Maybe they are requiring you to pay these taxes/fees in cash?

I checked and see minivans going for $460+ for 8 days in June (not with Hertz). Obviously, if Hertz makes you pay that much just for the co-pay, save your 8K points and use a different company (swallow your pride if Hertz is your "favored" car rental company).
