Anchorage pizza??
Will be arriving in town on a Friday night later than I would like, which is my traditional pizza night, and wonder what might be the best spot for pizza around 9 or 9:30? We have some great pizza in SF so any suggestions appreciated! (Or if this is just a stupid idea where to get a good salmon!)

My vote would go to Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria. Apparently a lot of other people think so as well. Check out their Tripadvisor reviews http://tinyurl.com/2ae3ltt.

Just ate at the Moose's tooth a couple of weeks ago.
One small pizza with toppings is more than filling and its very good too. Don't forget to get a sampler of their beers! Rich |
You bet it's good! Moose's Tooth and Bear Tooth. Go there.

Wow. Looks terrific and I thought I was going to a potentially salmon-centric world with no good pizza! Glad I asked this august group....:D

Anchorage pizza begins and ends at Moose's Tooth. It's the best pizza I've ever had anywhere besides Chicago.

Well, actually, it ends at Bear Tooth, although that may not count since it's the same people. But there's something unique about munching on Santa's Little Helper while drinking an in-house-brewed Hefeweizen while watching Robin Hood or Iron Man or another $3 second-run movie... :p
Wish their beer was a bit cheaper though :o But excellent place for a flic and pitcher ;) (and pretty close to ANC) |
I will add that their pizza is great, but the beer is definetly worth trying especially if you like micro brews. Not as good as Midnight Sun beer, though.

We were going to go the Moose's Tooth a couple of nights ago but the crowds were ridiculous and then some. It can be a pretty tough table on weekends and during cruise season.
Went to Sushi & Sushi instead. Fresh halibut tempura. O.M.G. |

It is confirmed. 2:30. Be there or be square--and I'm not referring to square Sicilian pizza...

Moose's Tooth is excellent. And, if you can't settle on just one pizza, you can always mix and match.
