just as well for me, in that I would have been late for a 4pm commitment

Couldn't pass on the EK F deal last Dec - needed to get to Europe for a conference.

9/28 LAX-SFO: should hit MVPG pulling into the gate ^

My first AS flight ever on Monday - SFO to SEA. Booked on the AA codeshare (I’m QF Gold).

Weird flying on an airline that doesn’t recognise my status. I’m all the way back in row 30!

I am MVPG75K. Qantas doesn't recognise my status either. Upgrades are never going to happen. If I want to make a seat selection prior to check-in it will cost me. AS does not charge for seat selection for standard seating. Exit rows and Premium Seat will have a charge.

The one benefit of MVPG+ with Qantas is access to their lounges when flying a QF (not code share) flight regardless of class flown. Similarly, QF Gold & Platinum members have access to Alaska Lounges. Currently, SFO does not have an Alaska Lounge. However, your access would be forfeited because you are flying on an AA codeshare.

AS 1100 15OCT2018 SFO>>BNA - P class
AS 1101 29OCT2018 BNA>>SFO - P class
AS 1204 08NOV2018 SFO>>ORD - K class (no way me and my +1 will clear the F upgrade on a 320)
AS 1201 12NOV2018 ORD..SFO - K class (maybe clear the F upgrade....but I am 0% of clearing free upgrades with my +1)

Need about 6500 more miles before end of year to keep MVP Gold.....

I must admit....I am pretty impressed with my last few AS trips....I'm coming from the VX side with the merger....I gotta give credit where credit is due.....

10/19 PHX-SLC-PDX-JFK
10/20 JFK-SEA-SJC-PHX

MR for the sole purpose of getting back to MVP. Yes, I am aware I messed up by getting two AA segments in there, thus hurting me on 20K requal, but I'm going to attempt an SDC and see what happens.

Going to be good to get back to MVP, it's been far too long. Earning base miles, sitting in steerage, paying for drinks, blah blah blah - it's getting old LOL.

And thanks to Alaska Lounge SEA giving PP the boot, I took AS up on their offer and joined the Lounge. Thoroughly enjoy imbibing frosty cold beverages and watching jets.

My next one is boring (SFO-LAX round trip) but the one after that... SFO-JFK-SEA-NRT-BKK return. Not technically all on AS but it's all getting credited there. I have a 10pm-7am layover in JFK which seems like not enough time for a hotel but perfect for a great night in Manhattan.

The JFK stop is separate tickets so I'm hoping that I can just check my bag all the way through from SFO to BKK.

Flying DFW-SEA-YLW Saturday morning. I booked it within the 120 hour 75K upgrade window yesterday and received my upgrade notice today. My last flights on AS were YLW-SEA-PDX on April 1st. I spent a month in Africa and the last 11 days finishing up 75K requalification on EK & AA through South America & Asia.
