Boarding Music on Alaska Airlines
Hello FlyerTalk Forums!
I have flown on Alaska Airlines a couple times in October/early November and they were playing a catchy song I don't know the name of during boarding and after landing. I know they were playing Rob Thomas at one point, but I'm wondering if anyone knows the name of the other song(s) they played (I only heard two, one of which was the Rob Thomas).
Any help would be appreciated!

I will say that, barring any wholesale changes to the cabin tune lineup between 6-Oct and now, those songs are on the annoying side IMO. It is even more annoying when a minor MX issue forces PAX to wait in their assigned seats for ~1.25 hours while they get things worked on like what happened to me on a PDX-ANC flight two months ago--three words: broken-record-syndrome.
Hope someone provides the answer to your question as I would like to find that out myself!
Prosper and fly high!

Wirelessly posted (The Roaming Phone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)
Slightly OT, but I have to say the best hold music I ever encountered was when calling Chrysler roadside assistance. I was treated to a slightly muffled version of The Prophecy from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring by Howard Shore. Maybe the agent was using Sauron's Eye to find me a tow truck (not an easy task 300 miles from civilization in Alaska!)...

i dont mind it at all, i mean, how can you beat watching nervous passengers board while nelly furtado's "all good things come to an end" is playing?
I like United's calming arrival music though ... so there is some improvement in the passenger music department.
Just please, no disco lights... VX ugh

If one does not appreciate AS tunes, they can always plug in their QC2's into their cellphone until they close the door...
Thanks AS Flyer for the comprehensive list
Can I put in a 'special request' for a Beach Boys X-Mas song?

Haha! Best post of the week! Too bad I can't nominate this for TalkMail via the mobile interface. (Maybe someone else will...)
