Was browsing the AS fee page and noticed that the phone booking fee is now waived for Gold/75K. That is north of expected, given the recent changes. ^

Please remember that Monsieur Beckoa lives in a fantasy land of his own making. He also believes in the Tooth Fairy and Little Foot.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! My new last flight was yesterday. Was supposed to have been one earlier this month, but then I decided at the last moment to meet up with a family member in Japan and Mileage Plan made it happen. Thank you Santa Chester!

Enjoying free WiFi on this JAL domestic award flight to get myself updated on the important news of the world and words from you hooligans. Interesting paradigm shift: 30 year old IFE, but free & fast gogoinflight to appease the masses (there's a screen on the bulkhead!?). And magically filling a domestically configured 777-300 in 20 minutes is a thing of beauty!

Free baggage allowance + ta-q-bin & open gate areas helps I think.

this JAL domestic award flight
Domestic JAL award...so you were spared the misery of seeing what a domestic F could be like...

Umm... AFAIK AS hasn't charged this fee for those tiers.

This one is charged for everyone:

Partner award booking fee$12.50

Hi -

I concur with Beckoa. I have never been charged a fee to talk to a call center agent.

Has anyone heard about AS & One World as a connect partner? And the results of their survey on airport lounge partners? It appears to me that AS might be finally taking the plunge to joining a global alliance next year, just saying.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE

Huh, I guess I was confused that the phone booking fee (in addition to partner award, if it’s an award) was charged for all on new tickets, with no status waiver.

It's damn hard to keep up with the fees airlines are charging these days and the conditions they place on tickets there is just no consistency.
