Very awesome! ^ My Alaska miles just became that much more useful. Looks like mixed peak/saver awards are not possible, which is too bad, but I guess I can just make two bookings.

I have to say, I am extremely impressed. Awards at 50% off the regular price.

Heck, even the new Mexico award sale can be booked as one way. SFO-PVR one-way for 7,500 miles - that's a very good award.

Huge thumbs up here.

I was wondering... would stopovers be allowed on one-way awards?

My biggest question is if one-way awards can now be booked on partners?

Wow! I'm impressed at the generosity! This should make it easier to get trips on all four of our family accounts now.

each partner airline has different stopover routing rules, and our stopover routing rules adjust sometimes to coordinate with them. Coding the website to interpret all those rules is a huge undertaking.

p.s. I hope everyone who's really impressed is voting that way in the Freddies! Rick promised I could go onstage and accept the Best Program award with him this year if we win. Come on peeps, I need my 15 minutes!

Missy, I think the thing that would hurt AS votes in the Freddies is probably the lost of 1000 miles for booking on alaskaair.com (yes BofA AS Visa still earns this). AS would likely loose more votes than gain votes from the addition of one way awards.
