I did the shuffle to use The Club at MCO this year.

Was small and very busy. Marginal food and drinks. And required an extra use of security.

Sad as it was the day after the TSO had an issue there.

I thought the Club at MCO was on the same side (just a different concourse) as the AS concourse and just required taking the train to a different concourse (but no extra security check)?

There are 2 locations of "The Club MCO". The one @beckoa references is in Terminal A Concourse 1 (and I've heard it's a disappointment). There is another allegedly far superior lounge in Terminal B Concourse 4. IIRC there is one security entrance for Concourse 2 & 4 - AS flies out of 2. So, you should be able to get to 4 via tram to access the lounge, then take the tram back to get to 2 (via another tram) without clearing security again. Check out the PP website for hours, etc.

Not always, as I noted in my reply. Occasional international passenger dumps block moving from one tram to the other in the same side of MCO.
