Most interesting route you've earned AS miles on?
I thought this might be an interesting question to pose, and answers from any time period, old or recent are welcome. I am wondering if anyone has earned AS miles on an especially interesting or obscure route, or city pair that nobody else on FT has likely replicated.
My most interesting AS earning route was DUB-BDL on Aer Lingus in 2019. The 757-200 was a on a wet lease with ASL Ireland Airlines. What makes it unique is the fact that BDL seldom has international service.

ONT/BUR, connecting from SFO ca. mid-1980s. It was in the days of 750 minimums and probably during a 3x promo, so 2250 SFO/ONT and 2250 ONT/BUR. (Unlikely, but possible it could have been OAK and not SFO.)

My wife did MIA-CDG-LHR-CDG. Original itinerary was MIA-LHR-CDG. BA canceled her MIA-LHR flight. She was supposed to meet me in LHR and we had the same LHR-CDG flight. She also had a broken foot at the time and the MIA-CDG flight would have stranded her at CDG for 6 hours, so she had them add the r/t lhr flight. Also, She was supposed to be flying PE on that leg but they had no PE available on the MIA-CDG flight. So she convinced the agent to put her in business for everything but the last LHR-CDG leg. .. and then BA lost her luggage for the entire 2 week trip. Which was cool since she got a french shopping spree out of it and BA mailed her a check for $1600 at the end of all of it.
My best i think was LAX-ANC-Barrow-ANC-FAI in one day. Work was paying for me to get to FAI and I wanted to go to barrow.. so I fit that in. Also did IAD-SJC-JFK as a mileage run once. Instead of a 4 hour bus ride i took a 2 day ride. Got upgraded so it wasn't so bad

After having our two Saga Class Icelandair routing MCO-KEF-AMS and return cancelled due to COVID with Icelandair only providing credit for future flights, I eventually reused this credit last year for three Saga Class tickets all of which were credited to our respective AS accounts (and allowed me to achieve MVP status with only one additional AS roundtrip):
- 2 Saga Class MCO-KEF-LHR round trips for an Easter event
- Saga Class for me MCO-KEF-ZRH, AMS-KEF-MCO for a Rhine River cruise (spouse flew Delta on an award booking)
then this year spouse used some of her accumulated AS miles for a MCO-SEA-LIH trip to Hawaii (returned from OGG using AA miles on AA)

ZRH-JFK
DUS-ORD
HKG-LAX
Next up: SEA-LHR...

SEA-KEF-OSL rt on Iceland air...in coach. I don't fly so much anymore and the trip put me close enough to MVP that they offered it me for $600 (I think?). I didn't take them up on it.
Long duration flights are tough on my family (and business is tough on my wallet). The connection in KEF from SEA is awesome to Europe.

While kinda mundane, LHR-LCA on BA is probably my most unique recent earnings; I'm flying SIN-HKT on SQ in a few weeks.
My most interesting flight earning AS points was on an Era Aviation flight from Anchorage to Kenai a few years past 9/11. The plane departed from a terminal at Ted Stevens that lacked airport security, and the plane itself was open to the cockpit! Felt like flying private, although TBH most private planes I've taken have been bigger.

30,404 miles ICN-NRT
.
Flew around the world to get from Seoul to Tokyo. Mixed cabin revenue ticket, 8 segments, first 3 in Main, last 5 in J, 6 day stopover in Santiago Chile.
Routing: ICN-HKG(KE)-SYD(QF)-SCL(QF)//SCL-MAD(LA)-DXB(EK)-ICN(EK)-HKG(KE)-NRT(CX).
LA was still part of oneworld at the time. SYD-SCL was an LA codeshare on QF metal, 747 via the southern polar route. All other flights were Carrier Prime flight Numbers, all issued on LA ticket stock.
From SCL I was behind secuirty for 44 hours. Great drinks, great lounges, great food and showers after every flight. Lie-flats to sleep along the way.
I had 3 PNRs, One for Oneworld, one for SkyTeam & one for Emirates. All segments accrued in Mileage Plan. Slightly over $200 per segment.
Second was SYD-AKL(LA)-PPT(TN)/12 days/-IPC(LA)-MAD(LA)-LHR(BA)-SEZ(BA)-DXB(EK)-NRT(EK)
All but the TN flight accrued in Mileage Plan but it was interesting arriving in PPT the night before we departed AKL. From PPT-IPC you cross 5 time zones in 5 hours. Once weekly Tuesday 3:00 am departure arrived at IPC at 1:00 pm. Before & after a PPT stopover for 2 days in PPT, an 8 day French Polynesian Cruise & 2 nights in Bora Bora, we had nearly 24 hours in AKL, IPC, SCL, LHR and 16 hours in SEZ where we got a day pass at a resort. Finished up in NRT and booked JL F home.
I have also been physically in Winter, Summer, Autumn & Spring, all four seasons, all in the same week in September accruing Mileage Plan miles.
