Problem Recognizing My Status
I've been 75k for a long time, and just missed it by a few thousand miles and a few AS segments last year. Unfortunately, I am now Sapphire and every time I go to select seats on AS, the system wants to charge me for elite seats. I've had to call in twice now because the system wants to charge me. i don't know why this is, is anyone else having this problem?

You don't explicitly state what your current status is. MVP Gold? At what stage of the booking/pre-flight process are you having this issue selecting seats? What do the phone agents say when you call in?

I am slightly confused by OP's wording as relating to 75K and then Sapphire, is the latter from another OW airline, or AS Gold?
