Has AS Cut Mixed Nuts Service in F? (No, but Reports It Can Be Inconsistent)

I have recently started flying Alaska again in February 2023!

Compared to last year, I noticed that there are many catering/service cuts in first class!

On SEA-LAX flights, there were no longer mixed nuts going with drinks and freshly warmed cookie is no longer offered.

Then on mid-con flights (MCI/ORD), there is no longer mixed nuts service before drinks, and meals are served immediately after takeoff with no separate beverage service.
Freshly warmed cookies are thankfully offered though.

Then on my current morning Hawaii flight, there is also no longer a warmed mixed nut service prior to arrival. We only get the usual snack basket service.
The F/A is experienced and friendly and this was the only flight out of 12 so far that my MVPG100K status is acknowledged too.

2023 seems to be a disappointing start so far!

The way things are trending, you can look forward to a pot luck in F by the end of the year. 😀

I haven't had the warm cookies in a long time....one recent flight was a dinner flight from SAN-PDX and I thought my no cookie streak would soon be broken but sadly no cookies were served but I think they may have been part of the crew meals since I saw a FA with a couple of the brown cookie bags.

it seems to be a grab bag the last few months. Sometimes nuts, sometimes cookies, sometimes both, sometimes none

Total of 6 longer flights this year to/from SAN in first - 4 Hawaii, 2 East Coast - service has been consistently inconsistent: PDB, drink service prior to meal, Warm nuts, fresh cookie hit and miss.
For the first time in YEARS on a recent light from EWR, Captain came out of the cockpit prior to departure, gave a briefing and greeting.
One good thing: No credit card commercials.

Same with yesterdays EWR-SEA morning flight FAs chatting it up mid-flight downing Lesser Evil popcorn from the iconic white bags. No snack basket offered to F however.

No mixed nuts (totally fine, don't really care for it), but have had snack basket and ice cream on all my transcons this year.

No nuts in my recent experience …. They used to be a good way to tide myself over to the eventual meal service.

So is the catering inconsistent, or are all flights catered with nuts, but often they are not served to passengers? And what happens to those nuts?

I've had 4 first class flights in the last month. SEA-SNA, SAN-SEA and PAE-LAS RT. No warm nuts but did get warm cookie and snack basket in addition to meal.

My last HNL-SJC in F a week ago we got nuts although they were served in a paper/cardboard ramekin. I was holding judgement until we head back again next week to see if this was a thing or not.
