How soon was the actual final (employee only) flight from SEA-PDX taking off after arriving at SEA? One of the AS agents I talked to said they had an employee lottery for the final flight tickets and retirement party upon arrival at PDX--400 employees put their name in the lottery which I honestly think seems kinda low but I guess somebody has to keep running the airline tonight, right?

Oh....I guess I thought it was tonight....is the plane just sitting at C2 until then or will it leave from another part of the airport since it's employees only.

I think I answered my own question with a quick Google search....it looks like it is AS 9985 leaving from C2 at 4pm.

Was definitely a fun flight and a great experience. Was fun getting to meet my fellow Avgeeks. 🤣 Overall I think they did a good job. The special welcome onboard card was a cool momento to take as well.

I'll miss the frequency of the flights.

I am glad to hear they will sell the aircraft. Some of them are so young; it would be a shame to scrap them.

I will miss the Q’s.

Thanks for sharing!

Would have been fun to attend; wasn't in the cards.

This brings back memories of the transition from the Dash-8 Q200 to the faster Q400 on the SEA-PDX-ACV/RDD-RDD/ACV-PDX-SEA triangle round as the FA's called it. I flew the ACV-SEA route quite a bit during the aughts. Lots of great memories on this aircraft type. I always went for 20A if it was open. It was the "do you want to finish of the bottle of beer?" seat. Other times you would get served first as they were leaving the galley then top you off on their return.
