Waited a week after qualifying for 75K. Used chat for the first time to inquire about why my 50K bonus had not posted. I didn't have any bonus EQM so it should have been straight forward. My DH's bonus posted next day after he qualified. The first chat responder didn't seem to understand the issue - was transferred to customer service chat. 3 days later the bonus finally posted. If you earned the bonus and haven't received it yet I would make sure to call or chat before the end of the year.

AS does not make it easy to track EQM. I take a screenshot of my EQM meter after every flight and check it later against a spreadsheet I use to keep track.

In the same boat used spreadsheet to calculate eqm based on straight mileage (plus COS multipliers) and then with promos. Should be receiving my 50k and so far, nothing.

Ill give them another day and then call.

It was June 2022, not last year. On the AS website, it still says the SWUs are distributed in the first half of the year but we all know how poor AS is at keeping their website up to date and their T&Cs are usually at odds with each other.

If the T&Cs are the "letter of the law" then a 100K choice award would still be available to someone who didn't qualify for 100K. Of course, AS has "errors and ommisions" to fall back on.

I wonder if AS will claw back the stacked EQM bonus on PAE flights to/from California when the promos overlapped? That was contrary to the T&Cs too.

So they came in June 2022 with an expiry of 12/31/22?

I've never received one before. With lower miles in 2021 I retained 75K for 2022 during the Jan-Apr challenge

It must be confirmed by. If booked and waitlisted before December 31st and it doesn't clear before the New Year, it is good as dead.

The difficulty this year was that many AA Elites had many SWUs that were extended during the pandemic and good until July 31st, 2022. At the same time AA significantly reduced C upgrade availability and so many of those extended SWUs expired unused. Much like AS did with GGU availability. There were lots of very angry AA Elites especially with AS Elites being granted AA SWUs who were vying for the same (very) limited availability.

Originally, I didn't see much utility for me. I am not interested in flying on a 25% EQM earning flight. When AA SWUs could be used on BA flights it changed the dynamics with AA sell-up fares into PE on BA a pittance. Availability is the same as award space which is much more plentiful on BA. Of course, I am not supposed to talk about that.

Correct. Thats why many use the short domestic leg thats confirmable to book (i.e. confirm) and utilize them, allowing the long haul to waitlist, but securing their usability.

Yes, that is a work-around and a good tip for those looking for non-stop itineraries. I guess the saving grace is that if the long-haul upgrade never materializes, a 75K/100K can choose MCE at booking. I already used my two, one from AA J to AA F & one BA PE to BA J.
