Another thought... some of us were recipients of "apology" eqm's in 2022. How are these interpreted for choice bennies? Hmm...

I'm in the same boat about this. Earlier this year, I was sitting below 75K EQM and then I got the 10K apology EQM which brought me up to over 75K, and I got the 50,000 RDM bonus miles. I hope? since it triggered the 50k rdm,, it will also count for the 100K benefits

Please let us know what you found out. I had two apology EQM bonuses this year, but I will make 100K this year with only about 6K to 8K above 100K. I did receive the 50K bonus miles when I passed the 75K mark earlier this month, so I assume the apology EQMs are counted towards benefits distribution. But I would like to confirm if this is also the case for 100K choice benefits.
Thanks!

This whole concept of giving out EQMs with "strings attached" is ridiculous. As a business owner I couldn't imagine putting out a product that was kind of a product but not really but might be and my customer doesn't really know and must read a ton fine print and call and maybe get a hold of a person after hours of waiting all to find out if the product they thought I had promised was actually the product I had advertised. Come Alaska.... get your feces together!!

Like others, my AL+ expires this month. I do not want to wait until Jan to see if it really going to be a benefit as I just hit 100k yesterday, so I am off to renew my membership as I still utilize the ALs as well as the partner lounge/clubs. I chose the WiFi but upon consideration I would most likely take the miles. Im down to less than 3k right now (always seem to be sending my family places) and I would like to use more miles for myself and hubby.

Looks like they *do not* count towards 100K choice benefit. I am now ~19K off from 100K with Year-to-date Alaska miles. I have exceeded 100K including "partners" which seems to now include bonuses.
I might not get a choice after all... alas. Only 1 or 2 more revenue trips booked this year, will probably end 13,000 EQM shy

Because I will be overshooting 75K eqm this year and thinking of possibly hitting 100K, I had considered what additional travel I might want to do this year.
However, from this thread it appears that someone looking at the AS website/app EQM total, doesn't really know how short they are toward the 100K goal-line.
It is bothersome that the EQM accounting towards 100k isn't easily for the customers to track.

*Elite qualifying miles are valid toward 2023 elite status qualification only, and are not redeemable for travel. These bonus elite-qualifying miles do not count toward meeting the requirements for status match challenges or fast track to status challenge offers.

I think this has been answered on AS' website (Unless I'm reading things differently now).

Consider before selecting free wifi.....
Delta and American, is reportedly making moves toward free wifi for all, both using Viasat satellite system. Delta started the rollout of the free wifi on aircrafts equipped with Viasat Satellite as reported by Onemileatatime.
Alaska's current wifi provider is Intelsat.
Some of us (not me) may soon be deciding if connectivity is of higher priority than AS miles....

You'd sure need a lot of flights to offset the benefit of 50K miles. I know the point value varies but I usually get at least 1.5 cents each. So, 50,000 X 1.5 cents = $750. That's roughly 94 flights of wifi. I'd sure have a hard time not taking the lounge membership but I'd be paying $750, nearly 2X what it would cost to just buy outright.
