LOL, I am sitting at 14k EQM below MVP and they are emailing me about what I get if I reach 100k before the end of the year. Fat chance.

Now if they could please post my EQMs from my Condor flight back in May, I might actually make it to MVP this year.

Admittedly the choices are nice and I would probably pick the 50k RDM.

No 100K luggage tag option???

Let me get this right: The 50% EQMs for Cali and PAE flights do not count toward qualifying for 100K, but do qualify for lower tiers? What about the 10K EQMs granted to me for the shenanigan cancellations last spring? Do those count as "status gifts" and not apply to 100K qualification?

EQM bonuses count for all status levels. They do NOT count toward 75K RDM bonus or 100K Choice Benefit.

I see the promo exclusion in the TCs but would have assumed the 50% EQMs for CA would have counted.

(That is to say I read promo as comped/challenge status, or status otherwise not earned organically; when COVID first hit I knocked out 75k EQMs in the 2021 period where AS counted them again in 2022, got the 50k RDM grant both in 2021 and 2022 when 75k EQMs promod my account in 2022.)

Besides manually tracking is there any way to see real EQMs vs faux EQMs?

Will take AS+ lounge if spouse doesnt easily reach MVPG organically this year. However this option of gifting to MVPG option will be selected going forward and thus not have to have them travel with me on 2-3 extra flights that are not necessarily mileage runs but incentivized to accompany me on business trips.

Current 75K on track to make my normal MVPG before the end of the year and I got the email. No chance I'll make 100K unless some really strange work travel comes up. I'd lean toward the Lounge+, as I have a ton of miles that are relatively underused.

It could be a situation like COVID 75K where in the T&C 50K RDM for only for organic elites, but the reality played out differently. I'm not aware of any way to see standard vs promo EQM besides manually tracking. Well, except for wafting my own gaseous emissions. At some point, one has enough AL hummus to convince themselves and everyone seated nearby they're an organic 100K.

Made 100K again last month and DID NOT get the email. Should I contact customer care?

The email in my opinion is inconsequential. Getting the benefit is the critical component.

I’m surprised by the poll results. I will be down to 75k this year, but don’t see these benefits are worth mileage runs. But in the poll, the one I see has the best benefit is gold status. That way when traveling with family or guests you can book two PNRs and get a total of 4 people upgraded. My travel is 75% business related so can write off the lounge and WiFi, and the last thing I need now with over 3mm in the bank is another 50k. I’m one of those who if I stop spending and start using miles I won’t qualify for Gold or 75 the next year, which negates the benefits. I’d LOVE to see Alaska do as Delta now does and allow EQM earnings on mileage trips.

I rarely travel with more than one other person. I like that my wife gets free UA Gold via my MM status, but for AS it wouldn't really provide a ton of benefits to us as she doesn't often travel by herself. Tomorrow I actually travel with two companions and upgraded one with a GGU (finally got to use one) and got a free upgrade for my wife and myself.

If I had three million miles in the bank, I would just buy F awards tickets for my family and not worry about getting upgrades for them. Those miles aren't getting any more valuable while cash can easily earn 4% these days

50K is what it is for me.....

Wifi - maybe 250 dollars if i spent 8 dollars for every single flight - which i dont for CA hops.
MVPG - people usually fly with me and get my benefits as companions
AL+ - i added up all the times i go .....lounge passes may be cheaper in the end.....less than 500....i dont fly through AA lounges much and the ones i have done have ben jam packed and i just left anyway......

Ill take the miles - but if my travel turns to more commuting - ill just pay for the lounge membership at that time.....mine expires this month...im just gonna use up my passes in my acct until increase in commutting or the new year.....

Made 100k on June 28th of this year and this was the first email communication Ive received regarding my new status. I think they are behind for some reason. As long as your app shows you as 100k, youre okay.(By the way benefit isnt able to be chosen until January, per the email).

Nice. My AS+ lounge pass just expired but I have 4 lounge passes to hold me over. I like to think Alaska was monitoring the 100K for 2023_ Want, Wishes, Dreams thread.
