Interesting spread of choices. I’m surprised that GGUs weren’t included as an option, especially since AS neutered the 75K tier by removing them last year.

I also hope the 100K Choice Benefit is not the only additional perk of being 100K.

I am still holding out hope for a pre-boarding benefit. 🤞🏻🍹

I'm assuming the 50K Choice benefit would be in addition to the 50K earned at 75K? If so, that's cool. At least, it's something.

PS - Congrats! I think the Lounge membership had been most popular on the wish list?

A choice award is what I was suspecting. I think the options are very generous; much more than I expected.

Now the question is, will you still get a choice award if you qualify with the California 50% EQM Bonus or the PAE-California 100% EQM Bonus that apparently stacks with the California 50% bonus but shouldn't?

Additionally, will the gifted MVPG come with 4 GGUs?

I'm worried that the 50% Cali Bonus will be inelegible for the annual choice:
¹¹Benefit selection is valid only for Alaska Airlines MVP® Gold 100K members who met the published qualification criteria, including both the required elite qualifying miles or total segments, and the minimum number of Alaska operated segments. Members who earned status via promotions, status match, or status gifts are not eligible.

I assume the 50% EQM qualifies as a promotion, but Ill hold out hope that it isnt

T&C's from the website:

¹¹Benefit selection is valid only for Alaska Airlines MVP® Gold 100K members who met the published qualification criteria, including both the required elite qualifying miles or total segments, and the minimum number of Alaska operated segments. Members who earned status via promotions, status match, or status gifts are not eligible.  Qualified members may select one option from the list of available benefits for that program year.  Benefit options are subject to change without notice.  Benefit selection must be made by January 31, 2023 for the 2023 program year or no choice benefit will be awarded.  Benefit selection is final, and your choice cannot be changed once selected.  Benefits chosen are for the qualified elite member only, and cannot be gifted to other individuals, with the exception of the nomination to MVP Gold status.  All Mileage Plan terms and conditions apply.
¹²Members selecting 50,000 bonus miles will have the miles immediately deposited into their Mileage Plan account upon selection of this option.  Bonus miles are not elite qualifying miles.
¹³If your chosen benefit is Alaska Lounge+ Membership, you will receive a membership for the entire time between your selection date and the end of the program year.  For members qualifying for 100K in calendar year 2022 for the 2023 program year, the end of the program year is December 31, 2023.  For members qualifying for 100K in calendar year 2023 for the 2024 program year, the end of the program year is December 31, 2024. No refunds will be given to existing Alaska Lounge or Lounge+ members who choose this option for any time period that overlaps between paid membership and the benefit period.  All Alaska Lounge+ membership terms and conditions apply.
¹⁴ If selecting this benefit option, the individual you nominated for MVP status upon MVP Gold 75K qualification will be upgraded to MVP Gold.  If you didn’t nominate anyone to MVP status after qualifying for 75K, you can select an individual to nominate to MVP Gold.  Gifted status will be effective up to 7 business days.  For members qualifying for 100K in calendar year 2022 for the 2023 program year, recipient status will begin within 7 business days of making your selection, and is valid through December 31, 2023.  For members qualifying for 100K in calendar year 2023 for the 2024 program year, recipient status will be valid through December 31, 2024.
¹⁵ Members selecting complimentary WiFi will receive a monthly Wi-Fi membership valid for complimentary access on Alaska marketed flights operated by Alaska, Horizon Air or SkyWest Airlines , valid from the date of selection of the benefit through the end of the program year.  For members qualifying for 100K in calendar year 2022 for the 2023 program year, the end of the program year is December 31, 2023.  For members qualifying for 100K in calendar year 2023, the end of the program year is December 31, 2024.  No refunds will be given for existing monthly or annual Wi-Fi pass members who choose this option for any time period that overlaps between paid membership, and the selection of the elite benefit option.  Inflight WiFi may not be available on all flights and speeds are not guaranteed.  All Intelsat Inflight LLC. (formerly Gogo Inflight) terms and conditions apply.

Nice to see, but not worth spending another 1500-2000 dollars to end up at 6 instead of 12 on a WL of 50 ppl for 0 seats on my SEA-DEN flights. I have a lot of miles that get used rarely, so 50K on top of the 75K 50K would be nice, but not necessary. I'll stick to 75K for this without having to do more than one mileage run this year.

Instead I could use that 2000 dollars to buy F and get to 100K faster in 2023 if I really wanted to.

Other than the miles, which I'm sure without a discount are worth more than $500 dollars the rest of the choices are not worth (TO ME) more than 500 bucks a year.

Thanks be_rettSEA for posting the T&Cs. I was trying to be the first response to the OP, but failed... lol

The first choice award selection is delayed until January, 2023 which is inline with AS stating new benefits would be introduced in/for 2023. It will allow bonused MVPG100Ks to fall out of the ranks if they can't earn the Tier organically in 2022.

Edge Case: 2023 Qualification for 2024 Status

In 2023, the choice award benefit will be available upon qualification and the validity of the MVPG Status & Lounge+ Membership will be December 31st, 2024. In effect, someone attaining MVPG100K by April 2023 can nominate someone for MVPG or select the Lounge+ Membership with a 20 month validity. That is very generous.

In subsequent years, it would be an annual extension of one year if the same benefit is chosen.

I'd likely take the 50K bonus miles as it would be the most financially beneficial. Selfish me (who uses said miles to give to friends/family) would like to take the lounge+ membership.

I am sitting on over 1MM in my account with little chance of using them. Not many international (or stateside) DO's anymore to use them on. The Alaska Lounge + membership is most useful for me. Being Alaska based, I rarely get a nonstop to anywhere I am going. ANC-SEA-DEN is one route I fly. That give me three lounges to visit in each direction. Doing the math, it would cost me much more that $500 to pay for those visits (if AS is even selling day passes).

That is how I justified paying for a lounge plus membership - What I would pay for things in the terminal v. the club -- one iced latte per each club visit (6 dollars) + one bowl of soup (four dollars) + one banana (one dollar) +one peanut butter pack (one dollar) for later + clean bathrooms (priceless) and avocado toast in some Admiral's clubs (value varies) surpasses my approximately 50 visits a year (generous) to the Alaska Lounge plus family of clubs. I wished I imbibed, but alas I don't really, in which case it would be a no-brainer.
