The Lounge+ membership was my initial thought, but with mine expiring at the end of Nov, there’s no way I’ll let it lapse for 1-2 mo while I wait for the choice benefit. I would have renewed it and still chosen the benefit, but terms say they don’t stack, so overlap is lost. Miles it is.

The gifting mvp gold status choice can be misleading as well if you don’t read the terms because you don’t get to give mvp status to someone at 75K and then also give mvp gold to another person when choosing this benefit. It’s an upgrade to gold for that nominated mvp person. Granted if you nominated your partner for example to be mvp then the upgrade to gold is a win win for both of you. Perhaps mileage plan will allow the gifted mvp status to be terminated for that person to then give gold to someone else.
Regardless, I’d also love a pre boarding benefit like what UA does for 1Ks and also a 100K dedicated team like AA does for the exec plat line. Time will tell but this is a great huge step in the right direction! :-)

Nice to see AS get this out.
Of note is what’s NOT offered:
→ nothing to ameliorate X fares (good!)
→ no extra AA SWU(s)
→ no direct Y award RM overrides (although an indirect method via another 50k grant could be argued as a defacto approach but that’s into the weeds).
Does the MVPG nomination count in addition to the MVP one?
…at gym now so haven’t had time to dig into the TCs.

I'm surprised that 50,000 bonus miles is leading the poll. Half the threads in this forum are those complaining that mileage redemption rates are awful. I voted Lounge access because it is a luxury I wouldn't pay for, but would utilize if it was free. Alas, I will not qualify for 100k anytime soon.

50K RDM is a minimum of $750 to me because I never redeem them unless I’m getting at least 1.5˘/mi.
Wifi is useful, and worth up to $600, but if you had the AS CC, you can buy inflight for 20% back each month without auto renew. That makes it a $480 benefit to me.
AL+ is $500/yr. It doesn’t extend current membership, so any overlap is a waste. Mine expires in Nov 2022 and will be renewed, so this benefit only makes sense for me as a 2024 Choice. Even then, while there are ways to use Amex incidental credits on airfare, it’s easier for me to just use them on AL+ membership.
So for me, the most value is the RDM.

+1 for 50K bonus miles.
My partner already has Gold. Plus, none of my friends are worthy of such a nice gift. lol
I have T-mobile so I get free wifi on the plane. even if I didn't have T-mobile, I don't see the value, that much, in free wifi, for me personally.
I have lifetime Delta Skyclub membership so I can get entry to Skyclubs even when not flying Delta (this was the best investment I did in my 20's, people thought I was crazy, but now even they say, it was a smart move.) But if I didn't have the skyclub membership, the AL+ membership would be tempting, but I find more value in the 50k miles.

I also got the email even though I am not 100k. Maybe in the minority here but none of these really appeal to me - I effectively get AL+ membership for $50 (after credits over 2 different Amex cards that offer the 'airline credit'). Have T-Mobile so already get free wi-fi, and the 50k extra miles or nomination don't mean much to me. I guess thanks to AS for letting me save the $$/time it would take for me to go from 75k to 100k and you're welcome to current 100ks that another one won't bloat the ranks haha.

You can literally get an SQ F round trip to SE Asia from North America every year at current redemption rates and still have miles left over. It's almost enough for SQ F North America to Australia/NZ round trip (and more than enough for SQ J to Australia/NZ, which is pretty nice).
That being said, let's see what the late 2022 award chart changes are...

Ex: “My CSR AF is net $250 after the $300 travel credit.” Then months later thinking of a $300 flight as “free” due to the same credit being applied.
I find counting CC credits toward the AF an easier way to monitor which cards I should keep/close.
