Have we determined that the 50% eqm bonus does not count towards the 100k choice benefit?

The speculation on https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/alas...it-2023-a.html is that it will NOT count, however I am unaware of any official confirmation either way from AS.

Need some help on a potential flight with this promotion. I hate math, so sorry...

If I booked SFO to JFK in First/C would that be 2579 base miles + 150% COS from C fare + 50% bonus = 9671 EQM?! I know my math is likely wrong...

No

2579 base EQM
1934 - 75% COS - C fare on paid First Class Fare
1290 - 50% EQM promo on BASE MILES ONLY

total 5803 EQM total one-way.

(back in 2021 / 2020) this would have gotten you 6770 as it was a different way to apply the 50% bonus....

just switched 10 Nov DCA-SEA to DCA-SFO-SEA

and since I’m going to be on the east coast the preceding weekend, I found a not-unreasonable turn (EWR-SFO-JFK, 730pm Sat to 730am Sun) with U availability

No. No bonuses ever count towards million miler. As far as I've seen, the only million miler miles that aren't genuine butt-in-seat are those that get you up to the 500-mile-minimum on short flights.

Million Mile status isn't based on EQM at all.

Can i dig up an old sore tack from the VX merger? I had to start at zero million miler count coming from VX...they said they would retroacively count activity for about a year...but received nothing......any update on this from AS or they wanting this to quietly disappear?

Thanks - appreciate the follow up there.

Grateful for the EQM bonus but would be useful if AS could include another 'counter bar' to the 75k/100k choice milestones on the Elite Status page...if it confused us on FT, I strongly suspect there general elite population will get caught up on it too.

100% agree, both that I would appreciate it, and the it would save AS customer service headaches.

But I wouldn't hold my breath on it, considering the mobile website (not to be confused with the desktop website or the mobile app) still has an Alaska-only EQM progress bar and no indication of required AS-metal segments.

Just for kicks that’s 2,000 flights between Portland and Seattle. At least now most (and soon to be all) are on mainline or E175 jets.

Even shorter is SEA-BLI at 92 miles. 2,000 flights gets you MM with only 184,000 BIS miles. While short, it isn't the shortest route in the network but you would have to travel to Alaska for those.

E175s! Perhaps a step up from earning MM entirely on Q400s.
