With the Max 10 certification indefinitely delayed and the restraints on increasing production of the MAX 8 and 9 for the foreseeable future, this refresh likely won't happen any time soon.

I’m on a crusty 738 right now. It’s filthy, smelly, the seat covers and carpet basically worn out, and it’s just not a pleasant experience. I hope that the refresh hinted at above in early 2024 includes AT LEAST new carpets and a super deep clean. I still can’t believe they threw a lot of coin at the VX 320s and ignored the workhorse legacy AS guppies.

Its been gone for a while. i suspect hosting fees are a lot.

i think we should recreate this here with a wiki updated.

Unless it changed with the new configuration, I believe all the reconfigurations are preformed at GSO so we need to look for 800s going there. Once that is established maybe someone with insider knowledge will know if it is a standard maintenance stop, a refresh, or a new interior. Not sure if AS will do the three odd duck first or save them for last. Might be last as those interior should be in better shape.. Having said that N514AS ferried to GSO Apr. 5 as AS9461.

It's too bad too, there was a bunch of good info on there. I am sure some of us could have chipped in, it's only $10/month for a site on Weebly.

Give up on your line of questioning for this year. AS doesn't even know how many planes they will have delivered this year--likely a figure decreasing with each passing month of Boeing spinning their wheels trying to come up with a long term plan. Thus AS has to make due with fewer planes than they planned for so unless you are hoping they start chopping flights later in year to takes these planes out of service, it is not going to happen this year.

Bummer about the 12F--another reason to avoid the -800s...many times the presence or absence of that 4th row of F makes all the difference between clearing and not clearing.

That might be one of the interm 800 refreshs that was mentioned in the press release about the MAX8.

The release also states that the late 2024 800 refresh will be 161 seats with 16F.

I was recently on one of the old 737-900s and it was refreshed in a similar manner to the 737-800s. New cushions and seat covers, but the seats didn't get installed with the new tablet holders
