I was curious when I saw that I was #5 of 60 on Friday's ANC-SEA flight and I found this thread: AS Routes That Are the Toughest Upgrades (Include Day of Week, If Applicable)

I know it is an older thread, pre-dating 100k, but it was an interesting read.

Only 25 tonight, I am #2. First has been full for days but only 12F on a 738. Main has exactly 1 seat available, 11B. There are 2 on the awaiting seats list likely traveling together as they have the same 3 letter last & first initial. Or it could be a single passenger with a comfort seat Either way, it could be interesting. On other recent flights ex SEA to Alaska were nearly 40. Interestingly, on a recent flight, the #1 pax on the waitlist sat in 7B. His earlier flight was canceled & he was reaccommodated. I was #5 on the waitlist. I asked him when he booked his ticket. It was 5 months ago while I purchased about 2 months prior, same fare class. It appears his time on the waitlist followed him to the later flight.

With many cancellations, more Elites are concentrated on the flights actually operating.

That aside, I will see how the 100K recognition goes tonight/tomorrow.

LAX-ANC 1/29, 8A

I was addressed by surname & thanked for flying with AS tonight. FA proactively advised that I could choose an additional snack & listed off the chips, popcorn & almonds as choices. Excellent & attentive service.

All offered proactively, with a smile.

PDX>PHX 1/29 - No recognition, flying paid first

Looks like the return flight tomorrow morning is completely full. Looks like I'm 3rd on a waitlist of 17.

The FA in First on today's SEA-BWI flight thanked 100k individually, then 75ks, then golds. She was nice about it. There were three of us 100ks in the cabin and one 75k I think.

My first time couldn't have been better. Saturday 1/29 SFO-SEA, the purser was taking drink/meal orders and said "Thank you for being a Gold 75 . . . wait, you are a Gold 100K flyer. Thank you!" I am insecure enough to have enjoyed that!

1/31 JFK to PDX - 100K was announced with First Class Boarding, and then it was announced again as part of Group A (100K, then Million Miles, then Gold 75K, and Gold). FA said she heard about the program, but she doesn’t know anything about it other than it showed as a new tier.

Booked online JFK/SEA/EWR online in F. Called reservations to add our Dalmatian in the hold. Boise call center and the rep couldn't have been more unhelpful with the crate requirements. Not even a thank you. Nothing.

Sea - HNL on January 26th sitting in Premium. Thanked for being 100k and was the FA's first. She thought I got all three snacks and I politely corrected her that it was only one.

On flight home today, January 31st, sitting in First, no acknowledgement for me or my girlfriend who is MVPG.

Switch-over is happening slower for inflight crew. Some inflight service apps are not showing 100K status yet. Hopefully, the person serving you has the upgraded apps, otherwise, you might need to give them a "friendly reminder".

Yes, I would imagine upgrading such an app isn't insurmountable.

Asked for a bag of chips yesterday on ANC-SEA. When the FA tried to charge me, I mentioned I was 100k. The FA apologized and said her phone was showing all of the 100k as non-elite. Considering I was 4th on the upgrade list, I assume there were at least 3 other 100ks in Y with me.

Same thing happened to me (but I dont remember which flight). Overall, in my 1st 10 flights as 100k: 1 time I didn't even get a chocolate; 1 time FA said her phone didn't show me as 100k; the rest: I either sat in F or got recognized. One of my flights was light load (like half F cabin & entire PC cabin were empty), I asked GA for an empty row (Saver fare); he printed me a new boarding pass and saw my 100k; he was like " Nah, I just put you in F". That was probably the best 100k recognition I've had so far !
