This is a first for me. Was able to do a SDC but didn't have a seat and had to wait to get assigned at the gate. Was #2 on the list for waiting seating and #1 on the upgrade list. About 30 min before departure noticed that I completely fell off the upgrade list and the person behind me got upgraded. Inquired about it at the gate and they said "sorry, first class has checked in full" and I asked again why I was #1 but fell off the list and they had no idea. I am happy about being able to get on the flight I wanted (as SDC are not guaranteed and subject to availability) but annoyed that the UG processor screwed me over.

AS is unlikely to do anything to improve the UG professor unless more people express their concerns and experiences with it.

Definitely submitted this to AS CC. This is the 2nd time UG processor has screwed me over and it's so frustrating. (Although last time was worse since they gave me an upgrade then took it away.)

However EY dropped the ball with a 24 hour advance purchase requirement for partner awards that I was not informed about before transferring points from Amex, so they had to cancel my LAX-BOS after issuing it. Instead, I used the miles on SFO-JFK the next day, booking a B6 connection JFK-BOS to get me home with a 3 hour layover in JFK. I'm finally back home now and happy with the experience as I got to eat at JFK FFD again.

GOLD 75k here… it’s T-108 and the upgrade still hasn’t been processed yet. 5 U spaces available according to ExpertFlyer. Called in and was basically told my upgrade window is 3days or 2 days (BS) or computer will process it today.

If you want to affect change, call Customer Care to express your discontent that the UG processor does not function according to the posted policy and you can’t even receive help from Reservations. You could also mention that the agent needs to be retrained on 75K benefits, because the UG window opens at 120 hours (not 72).
If enough elites complain, they will eventually do something about it.
