Been a long time since one could fly IDA-BOI. 2006 was the last time I took that route. Wonder if PIH will ever come back.

Nice to see AS/QX returning to their roots of flying these short Q400 routes like PUW-LWS and the HLN one they used to do.

Lol, they didn’t even refer to it as a Focus City in the employee release. They’ll have about 36 flights a day and 15 destinations by next June…so whatever they decide to call it, they see the value in a large BOI presence.

Wouldn't that be the Skywest Horizons Lounge with AS in a smaller font serving mini chocolate chip cookies & micro micro brews?

hmmmmmmm … despite the wording in the press release, it actually appears that BOI-IDA starts 16 Jun and IDA-BOI starts 17 Jun

this makes sense given the timing of the flights, and (if I get ambitious/crazy) makes getting all four inaugural flights a one-night operation (SEA-BOI-LAS and LAS-BOI-IDA on 16 Jun; IDA-BOI-SEA on 17 Jun)

A Horizon Lounge that serves one beer and one wine would be amazing.

It would, except every time the wind blows, the lounge would suspend service due to heavy turbulence.

YESSSS!!! I hope it's timed well for SMF-BOI-IDA connections, this would make my life so much easier...right now, it probably won't work, but maybe things get re-timed eventually...

I think you mean the possibility of heavy turbulence, maybe at some point during the flight or not.

No, I mean the possibility of turbulence in a Horizon Lounge ... In the Terminal ... on the ground ... with a wind.

I think you are being too generous. If Kroger puts a 20" box fan on the shelf, QX declares weather as the reason for lack of service...
