Uctim17 and eastbay1k sorry if my response seemed to come off as sour grapes it wasn't meant to be confrontational more to point out that going up against WN at OAK isn't the smartest use of money. I agree with eastbay that the airlines rolled over and played dead when WN set up camp. Going as far back as 2005 AS only had high single digit market share so it never been a really option at the airport. Biggest hit to AS at OAK might very well have been the closure of their heavy maintenance base there in 2004.

Now if only AS restores SAN-SLO, option to go tasting in Paso Robles.

Without much OAK service, I simply walk to the Berkeley wineries. Very convenient. And sometimes, I drive by STS to go drink some more in Northern Sonoma County.
