June / July Schedule Changes (Thru 7/25/2021)

not sure if a new thread is needed, I think they unleashed another round of schedule change for June and July flights. Some Alaska bound flights have minor changes, but LAX-JFK transcon has significant cut, either no flights or just 1 flight each day. And of course, I will use it to manufacture some miles. And I did made a change from lax-sea-jnu-anc to lax-anc direct. Back then the connection is 100 cheaper than direct XD

June / July Schedule Changes (Thru 7/25/2021)

Time to check your bookings, some significant cuts. Current schedule is updated through July 25th. July 26th and beyond includes placeholders.

AS Flyer in another thread said the summer schedule adjustments went through part of August, not sure how far into August though. Was there a rare Monday night schedule update? Usually those things happen on Saturday nights....

Very happy/pleasantly surprised to see SEA-STL go from 1x to 2x daily.

I pulled up a week in mid-July and looks like it only operates 4 days a week now, with service not offered on T/W/SAT.

SFO-JFK also operating on the same schedule.

Ok, I just checked....the summer schedule changes only go through 7/31...just checking a few random routes....SFO-EWR and PDX-EUG magically show back up on 8/1.

LAX-JFK goes from 1 flight on 7.25 to 5x on 7.26, those are obviously placeholders for now.

This is really irritating. They're basically making it impossible to fly Alaska for me.

lax-jfk got big cuts before the end of July, i remember there were a few daily, now only 1 or none each day.
And of course I will not miss the chance to move my flights from LAX to ONT. Saved $$$

Oh WOW.
Major changes to our flights to Maui , in July.
(2 families traveling with 2 children under the age of 5)

LAX/OGG. Departure was 10:30 am, direct flight. Arriving 1:30pm. (Perfect time for traveling with small children)

Now, departure 5:10pm . Arriving 8:00pm.
.

OGG/LAX. Departure was 11:30 am, direct flight.
Now, departure is 3:40pm Arriving in LAX at 12:00 (MIDNIGHT).
Arriving home around 2am.

Found connecting flight that gets in much earlier.
Will AS allow me to change LAX/OGG to LAX/SEA/OGG without fare change since schedule change is 6+ hours later?

Yeah, SEA-SFO jumps from 7x daily flights on 7/31 to 11x daily on 8/1. Definitely looks like placeholder starts 8/1.

Does anyone know if PDX-FLL starting back on 8/4 is just a placeholder or the regular resumption of seasonal service? I'm inclined to say the latter since it seems like 8/1 is the normal placeholder for schedules, but I'm not sure.

It seems like the Tcons and Midcons are most impacted with placeholders beginning 7.26, with West Coast held thru 7.31

ORD (from SFO) jumps from 1x/day thru 7.25 to 3x/day on 7.26 - at least one or two of those flights are complete fiction at this point as well.

Totally butchered my JFK-LAS trip via SFO with the schedule change. Was looking forward to good upgrade chances on that one. Maybe I’ll try the AA partnership...oh, they want $1000 for Y. No thanks. Off to B6 I suppose...
