Yes, but I expected you would have some inside information.

Another FTer recently reported no evidence of work being done on the SFO lounge which doesn't bode well for an opening anytime soon. My guess is that it will open in time for the holiday travel season in November/December.
.
I was hoping you had a Youtube video of a meeting of the City and County of San Francisco regarding construction. As your PDX video stated, many airports (including my homebase IAH) are working hard at new construction, remodeling, and expanding. Just because we FTer don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't happening.

The AS website still states: "

A new Alaska Lounge is coming to San Francisco.

We’re excited to announce a new Lounge in SFO opening late summer 2021."

I always believe everything I read on websites but I am not clear on the definition of "late summer". SFUSD classes begin 16 August, marking the official end of summer in San Francisco, so the AL will have to open before then.

If I buy tix for 15 August, that should give AS enough time to wow me.

I believe the summer season ends 9/22 for SF (northern hemisphere), so I wouldnt count on your plan. 🙌🏻

Im a metric person, but dont believe in meteorological or astronomical seasons. From Memorial Day to Labor Day sounds about right or whatever it feels like when you stick your head out the window.

On your next lounge visit, this may be an interesting read, NOAA - Meteorological Versus Astronomical Seasons

As for the SFO lounge opening by 9/6, it's possible but a good 2+ weeks earlier than the end of announced time period, \_(ツ)_/.

Thank you for the picture and your personal experience at SFO.
The "I saw" is more relevant to me than "I have never seen..."
I, for example, have never seen any US President in person, but my lack of firsthand experience has little bearing on his/her/its/their existence.

I've been in the SFO AA lounge a few times and its quite the lovely lounge, and spacious. At least how AA had it setup. Its just shy of 1/2 the size of N @ SeaTac. Alaska REALLY doesn't have to do much in there.

The former AC was about 9,600 sq. ft. The N Lounge is 15,800 sq. ft.

Can't take credit for the pic. I quoted the previous post with image since the appearance from the terminal still looks the same now as it did then.

Im in SFO now and I also peaked behind the partition and got a sliver of a glimpse inside.

The space is pretty much gutted, and looks like they at least need to put down flooring and paint the walls before they can start moving in furniture.

Hopefully they are just making cosmetic changes and dont need to dramatically re-route power and water.

I would guess September at the earliest.
