Noticing some oddities with seatmaps today. Got an EF alert that a premium aisle seat had opened up, so I went into app, see it available, but errors out and cannot select it. Look at EF seatmap, and it looks wildly different in terms of what's available in the app and online. Premium seat it notified me about is not open on EF, but still shows on AS. AS shows all but 1-2 seats on the plane full, while EF shows 10-12 available (though only a middle premium seat that AS shows as occupied).. Bizarre (and annoying)!

PAE-SNA Direct Flights
Was looking at PAE to SNA direct in November and was seeing after Thursday Nov 18, I can't find anymore direct flights from PAE or SNA until Jan 2022. Any reasoning behind that?

Is it possible to split Alaska Lounge membership across two credit cards? I'm wanting to use my AMEX airline incidental credits toward a membership. I don't assume I'd pay elite rate as an AA Platinum Pro but maybe I'm wrong? Thank you.

Oof, bad timing. Prices jump tomorrow and you have to call customer care to do a split payment… and they’re closed for the night.

Hi all,
I have a question!
I am book on a few short AS flights
Lets use LAX to SJC as an example
LAX to SJC is 307 miles
AS has a 500 mile minimum
There is also a current 50% bonus elite qualifying mile promotion
I am also an MVPG earning 100% bonus miles (basically earn double award miles)
For elite qualify miles, can someone tell me what gets applied first the 500 mile minimum or the 50% bonus?
Option 1 If the the 500 mile gets applied first then it is307 500x1.5 = 750 elite qualifying miles
Option 2 if it is the other way around it is 307x1.5=460 which is then rounded to 500 elite qualifying miles
For award miles
Option 1 If the the 500 mile gets applied first then it is307 500x2= 1000 award miles
Option 2 if it is the other way around it is 307x2=614 award miles
Thanks again for your help!

If there is a Class of Service bonus on the fare, that will also be added before the 50% EQM bonus. Flying 307 miles in F (D & I fare class) would earn 500 minimum + 250 COS (50%) = 750 × 1.5 =
The base is the minimum 500 miles, your Elite Bonus is applied to the base so all flights will earn a minimum 1,000 RDM miles for an MVPG.

Minimum gets applied first. With the 50% EQM bonus, all flights will earn a minimum of 750 EQM.

Thank you so much, that is what I was told by a very unconfident sounding agent, but i am glad that you were able to back that up for me.

One more question
is Alaska airlines normal good at rounding up eqm at the end of the year?
I realized I have 99,304 eqm at the end of the year
and i dont think that i will book anymore flights, but i am wondering if they will round me up to the 100k status when it comes out???

Why chance it? This is the first year they will be offering 100k. If it matters to you to get it, then fly one extra trip in the next 3 months or add in a connection to an existing trip. Why count on a handout that may not happen when you have lots of time to accrue a mere 700 miles? Why take the chance, at least for something brand new and for their highest status?
yeah, good point. OK I’m gonna look at rerouting myself a tiny bit. Maybe add stop in Seattle to a trip

Yes, you just get it at baggage claim instead of the a la cart. Your bag will fit up above, at least on the right side in F. I assume Y too since I see people take them back there.

We are in F so could check for free but looks like no time would be saved either way. Maybe we'll just carry it on unless my DW decides on 2 or 3 bags.

How many fellow Gold 75Ks have applied for Air Canada status match to get into the LAX Star Alliance lounge and United Clubs?
The LAX AS lounge closed at 8:00 PM today so, when it closed, I went to the *A lounge in TBIT, took a shower, had self pour drinks, and had several dates (the fruit). The *A lounge closes at 1:00 AM. I am flying UA today.
