A tad OT.
Just some new year's reflection, but I still recall the disappointment I had felt when my beloved hometown Virgin America Airways was taken over by some outfit called Alaska. I suspect, like many in the Bay Area, I was pretty upset and frustrated, and voiced some frustrations on here. While I don't recall who, but someone here on the AS forum made a simple yet, to me, profound statement, "AS is the SPG of airlines."
Whoever that person was, he/she could not have been more right.

This is a generous promotion from AS for those who need to fly, and I hope people are socially responsible and respect stay-at-home orders (e.g. avoid mileage runs) until the pandemic situation is less critical (e.g. limited ICU capacity).
I do hope this promotion helps stimulates AS' bottom line, even from travelers who would normally book elsewhere, such as AA elites.

How is the 50% bonus calculated for *I* fares?
Example: base mileage is 5000 + 75% for COS = 8750 eqm
Would this promo bonus 2500 eqm or 4375 eqm?

eg : 5000 x 1.5 x1.75 = 5000 x 2.625 = 5000 x 2.63 (AS round up to 2 decimal places) = 13150 EQM
