1/7/21AS122 SEA-FLL, MVPG75K w/ MVPG companion. R class with a companion certificate.

Email notification at T-47.33, It did feel strange selecting seats with "neighbours." Five available F seats to choose from. There weren't 2 seats together & only one isle seat. I selected 2F & 3D. Hopefully 2D or 3F will change; I have been traveling with boxes of chocolates for the crew as of late, one for each flight. Ticket originally purchased in October but "refreshed" in December when the original itinerary was completely changed to preserve the Companion Certificate.

Yeah, I hate it when my wife and I get upgraded, but there aren't two seats together, but someone typically moves if I ask nicely and follow my cardinal rule....I only ask window seat people to trade to a different window seat and the same goes with aisles....this means when I select seats, I need to make sure one of us is in an aisle and the other in a window.

As an aisle person myself, I don't usually mind switching to another aisle, but a window is a no-go unless it's a short flight.

Would a dozen fresh-baked, oven-warm cookies persuade? 🍪

For those of you who can't wait for your upgrades to be processed at the gate, I'm starting to get upgraded 2-4 days out now, which was definitely not the case, at least for me, before they removed seat blocking.

Was it a 737? If so, were 1DF blocked? And did F go out full?

curious, as I have a many SEA/SFO HNL flights in the next month and 1DF seats still show as blocked.
