They dumped my morning return MCO-SAN so I'll be on the evening flight back home. I thought it was interesting that they had gone to two flights a day each direction and am not surprised it got dropped.

The December schedule looks to extend to Jan 4th (the monthly schedules generally do not precisely begin and end on the first and last days of the month). Jan 5th and beyond is currently showing 13x daily on SEA-SFO and 14x on SEA-LAX. These (and other routes) will get reduced once the January schedule loads. SEA-SFO is only 6x daily in Nov/Dec schedules while SEA-LAX is 8x daily.

Yep - hit hard! HNL-SFO cancelled for our trip back from Thanksgiving, nothing available with U space of course. So cancelled and rebooked new tickets on AA. They wouldn't budge on giving us U space on the HNL-SAN. I wasn't real happy, but we also save hotel nights as we won't have to overnight in SFO on way back. For January also cancelled and re routed us through LAX, got them to at least change the LAX-SFO (since we don't need to be in SFO but LAS) to going to LAS instead, coach on that last leg, but no big deal. Interesting that on that one they protected us in U space on all legs. All in it will cost me about $40 with the savings on hotels, etc. Not thrilled about a red-eye on AA back from HNL but it is what it is. I at least feel comfortable now with the flights. Well a bit concerned about the January HNL-LAX, but again if they mess with us I can cancel and get refund and buy a first seat on AA or UA for pretty reasonable $.
I'm glad that my Spring and Summer trip are booked into paid First as I feel better about AS having to find us space if there are changes without having to find U.
Still a bit surprised that they would rather refund - not my wallet refund but actual refund - than open up two U seats. Doesn't seem like smart revenue management to me during these times. Nor a great way to treat an MVPG. Oh well.

Not sure. Seems like at least January?
Actually just seems that days were cut. Again because of U space and them having protected us we are now flying SJC-SEA-HNL, since on our day SJC-HNL does not operate. Would have rather gone a day earlier and done nonstop, but oh well.

Although it may be tempting to get on the phone and immediately start re-arranging your schedule, some flights that ARE actually on the schedule for December may not be showing up for booking or are shown as sold out when in reality they should pop back into the schedule on Monday or Tuesday...my guess is that AS purposely does this to provide space for re-booking due to schedule changes like this.

Other than YVR, all Canadian destinations are being cancelled a month at a time upon the border closure extension. November flights SEA-YYC were long gone before this weekends changes. When the border closure is extended beyond November 21st, all December flights will be cancelled too.
Edit: I see they are being proactive and just cancelled all SEA-YYC/YEG/YLW/YYJ flights through January 5th.
Makes sense.
