Is the Milk Run still operating?

I would very much like to take the Milk Run from ANC to SEA in Oct. I can’t find it on AS’ website. Any frequent AS flyers who can offer any insight?

Thank you.

Hi - you will need to book two OW tickets, one ANC-JNU and the other JNU-SEA. Look for either flights 61/66 for the run through Cordova/Yakutat, or 64/65 through Ketchikan, Petersburg, and Wrangell. They are a ton of fun especially on a clear day.

As was previously mentioned, you'll need to use multi-city and book ANC-JNU and JNU-SEA separately....the problem will be that the computer will not allow you to book two consecutive flights with the the same flight number (flight 66 in this case for the northern milk-run). If you buy two separate tickets, it will no doubt add a significant amount to your final fare. If you want to save some $$, try booking it so that CDV or YAK is your final destination as part of a round-trip (SEA-CDV-SEA) and it should allow you to keep the same flight number for the return. I put together a great milk run trip for next month (ANC-CDV-YAK-JNU (overnight)-SIT-KTN-SEA) that unfortunately got the SIT-KTN stops cut due to the fact that the JNU-SIT-KTN-SEA no longer exists, but it will still be fun flying through CDV and YAK. Also note that they don't like you to get off the plane at the intermediate stop, but I think at least one other FTer has mentioned that they do it (if you ask nicely)....basically you just get to get off the plane, enter the tiny room ("terminal") and go back through security. I'll probably just stay on the plane myself.

If you really want to get off, just do. Don't ask. But don't dwaddle, as some have cleared the TSA already. Basically you have enough time to step outside and snap a photo.

Bring your boarding pass and I'd too!
