Did your friend confirm once onboard that his former 27A seat remained empty?

Honestly, I've never sat that far back on a 321, so can't recall from my own memory. It may be on the DEF side, but just reporting back what he was told by the GA.

Whelp, seat map on my LAX-DCA flight later this week has changed to a reconfigured A320. So I moved myself up into premium class, where I'll drink for free.

Update: Flew 27A SEA-DCA. Overall a great seat. Had no one else in my row (BC empty). There were two people (a couple) ahead of me in 26.
My only complaint is that my feet got quite cold (I assume from the exit door). And I NEVER get cold on flights (I'm always too hot). So if you are in this seat, make sure to wear warm socks!
Oh, and I did get my MVP Gold chocolate

Row 10 A321
I'm a pretty husky guy with big thighs. Are the tray tables in the armrests in row 10 or the seats in front of you? When I get row 6 on a normal 737 it gets pretty tight for me.
Looks like my flight is now on a A321 and I haven't flown on one of those yet. I do like the extra legroom also, so I ten to book row 17 for example on a normal 737.
Any insight is appreciated and Seat-guru doesn't mention armrests or not.

I noticed on SeatGuru someone said to avoid row 9 at all costs...no window and limited recline but that is a PC row....any reports about that row?

SeatGuru is partially wrong. It does have a window (normal size, unlike 10A), but it has no recline since row 10 is an exit row. You can see the 10a tiny window in post #10 upthread.
