PDX-DEN Is Finally Back (September 2020)

Per the weekly OAG thread over on airliners.net

First dates I can find are in September.

Props to AS for sensing weakness (UA, F9) and pouncing. As I think many of us would attest, the resumption of PDX-DEN is long overdue and was an obvious hole in the network.

BOS-LAX

BWI-SAN
IAD-LAX
JFK-LAX
LAX-ORD

Are all cancelled now through September. So small victory but quite a lots cuts to add that one route
Works for me. As a shareholder I’d rather AS cut soft routes than use the old VX strategy of setting as much money on fire as possible so they could be the cool airline in SFO.

Hi -

$30 cheaper to change planes in SEA than take the N/S ... hopefully that will change with a fall fare sale.

I'm wondering if their new point to point pricing has taken affect....as a side note, I still prefer to connect in SEA for the extra EQMs....never in that much of a hurry that I cant rack up a few extra miles along the way

If you're Gold or 75K, you probably can SDC to the nonstop under the unwritten new policy if you're willing to roll the dice.

$30 for 2 hours faster, less chance of lost luggage, and to avoid the headache of SEA. I'd probably pay $100 more for the direct. (I hope AS isn't reading this)

really? just because a connection point appears in the fare rules does not mean that the airline actually offers service over that connection point

If there was a non-stop/direct GEG-DEN flight (pretty sure there's not) --
MAP CONSTRUCTED LEFT TO RIGHT AND RIGHT TO LEFT
1. PDX-SEA/RDM/PDX/PAE/GEG/BOI-DEN

I just quote the routing rules (via EF). Can't speak to their seeming absurdity.

I know there isn't a GEG-DEN flight but was wondering if double connections were allowed without breaking the fare....when I say connect in GEG, I am assuming a final connection in SEA (sorry it wasn't clear)....back in my UA days, they had VERY wide open routing rules....you could fly through SBA or PSP to get to DEN).

double connections would actually be identified separately (can’t actually recall any examples at the moment)
