Best mileage runs that absolutely no one should take

I feel we need to be recording some of the most ridiculous mileage run opportunities that are popping up during covid-19. Armchair mileage running?

I also want to be really, really clear that no one should do this.

So here you go:
MFR-SEA-PHX-PDX-EUG EUG-PDX-PHX-SEA-MFR
$82 round-trip
6,232 redeemable miles
9,348 EQM with the current promotion

It's 106 miles from MFR to EUG.

Iím starting my 14 day (voluntary) quarantine in a few days when I (involuntarily) am forced to repatriate and will be bored out of my mind.

How does one even begin looking for these kind of stupid routings?

I would be all over this if we didn't have this current medical environment (laughing)!

Pick two airports that are very close, but don't have non-stop service between the two. For example, I could imagine crazy routings DCA-BWI / BWI-DCA. Or, for AS flights, SEA-PAE / PAE-SEA.

For the curious, this is a $13 base fare EUG- or MFR-PHX, combined to make four one way trips. The routing is quite reasonable if you look at it as individual fare components.

Amazing.

If these were the "good old days" when AA ExPlat could be reached without any minimum spend, I would not mind doing that MR over and over for a couple of weeks until I had the status and miles I wanted.

And, if this were the really long gone days of hotel promotions like Hyatt's "FFN" Faster Free Nights promotions, this could potentially accrue free nights redeemable at all Hyatt hotels.

Back in those times, spending a few thousand total on these tickets, plus cheap Hyatt Place or Hyatt Regency Hotels (or the equivalent from other chains offering promotions) could have achieved 1) EXP for at least one year (perhaps a bit longer) including 8 eVIP SWUs 2) First of Business class international tickets to virtually anywhere 3) Luxury Hotel award nights anywhere where participating hotel existed...

Of course not a good idea at the moment with viral pandemic. But it is funny to think of how amazing Frequent Flyer and Hotel promotions used to be in that era. Perhaps we will see some lucrative hotel promotions once again following this current crisis situation. For now, let's just all stay safe.
