I’m on SFO-MCO this morning and MCO-SFO tonight (hopefully!)
i booked it around 3am today (still jetlagged from last TPAC).
Just got upgraded at less than two hours from outbound departure. I guess booking Main instead of Saver was worth it.

They updated the fare sale that ended the other day. Transcon fares are even lower now... I am down to 2.4 cpeqm if I were to book it.
Or 2.5 if I want to make a vacation out of it.

They will update in your qualifying status bar. Note that it does not actually post into your Mileage Activity because it it Bonus EQM, not Bonus Redeemable Miles.

Speed is proportional to distance covered and inversely proportional to time. "How fast" is generally asking for a measure in speed (no, officer, i don't know how fast I was going, but I know exactly where I was). So 50% faster actually means that you cover 50% more distance in the same amount of time (since speed and distance are proportional)

So 150 mph is not 50% faster than 100 mph?

Just in case anyone is confused about the term (as I was):
I flew AS 783 from EWR to SJC today. The base mile is 2,548.
What credit to my account is 2,548 (base) + 2,548 (MVPG bonus). The 50% extra was "credited" to my "Elite tier status qualification", my total YTD mile on Alaska increase 2,548 + 1,274 mile after this flight.
So as a summary: I did not earn extra miles (to redeem for award ticket) but I am on a faster track to qualify MVP/MVPG/75K for 2021.
