Judging by the seat assignments, I guess Seat2A isn't on the flight :) Wish I could be there!

If I don't get bumped to the 4th row at check-in, @jrl767 will have to report on what kind of cookie was served.

Yep! Sent you a PM. I'll likely have finished breakfast (and a Bloody Mary or Hefeweizen or whatever) by the time you arrive.

Question for anyone who knows: Short of showing up at the gate, is there any way to know whether they've prepared a festive sendoff for the inaugural (e.g. Chili, Goetta, Bourbon), like they did for SEA/MRY?

 I should have asked @missydarlin when I saw her last week!

I'm thinking any such sendoff will be fairly low key ... I know gate assignments are likely to change, but AS508 is currently showing N14 for tomorrow; the MAX festivities were at C9, which is rather farther removed from masses of passenger traffic

Looking forward to this one tomorrow - It'll be my first AS inaugural on a route, and my first flight since Jan '20! I'll be starting the journey back to MVPG from the bottom after falling just short of requalifying in 2019

maybe there will be some hoopla

AS508 now shows departing from C9

I’m on the light rail, ETA ~0800 (probably 0810 at the N lounge)

:/ well, this was the extent of the acknowledgment for the inaugural at SEA (C20)

that said, it was great to meet up with TheStrangerIn29K and his longtime friend for preflight happy hour in the N and C lounges :D

That’s too bad... I probably my would have hopped on had it not been for the lackluster celebration for the inaugural MAX flight.

Much more festive at the gate at CVG!

Great to finally meet you too, @jrl767. Always fun to meet people you only know so far "from the Internet". Even better when they turn out to be (as expected) a good Mensch. Let's do that again sometime.

My add: The Seattle sendoff was less than lackluster. There was none. That sign shouldn't count. And when I was checking in at the Elite/FC counter, when I answered the Agent there that I was flying to Cincinnati, she asked what city I was connecting through. She wasn't even aware a route to Cincinnati was starting. Bad omen for any kind of local sendoff, in retrospect.

Any Pomp and Circumstance were relegated to the gate at CVG, as noted already. I wish I could say that we were each handed a gift bag with all the following, but Alas, we have to go out and add our own local bottle pairing, if we want one.

Coming off the plane, they handed us these certificates. Notice it's for the return flight. Nothing like that to mark to inaugural from the other direction. Disappointing in that regard, but that aside, I'm really glad AS has added this route.

Interesting to see a WN plane in the background....back in my college days I would connect via CVG quite often on DL....definitely a hub-captive city with generally high airfares if you wanted to actually make that your destination.
