That was my interpretation.

Needless to say, AS has my $$$ for this flight.

Is being a jerk something you take pride in? I wasn't saying whether they had cancelled or not - I just mentioned that it was still bookable internally. No more, no less.

Well this was weird.

Checked something on EF and saw the following:

Code:
AS 110 0 ANC
08/18/20 12:45 AM SEA
08/18/20 5:15 AM 73J
Daily
NA / NA F4 D4 P0 I0 U0 A0 Y4 Z4 S4 B4 M4 H4 Q4 L4 V4 K4 G4 T4 R0 X4 N4 W7 E4

AS 402 0 SEA
08/18/20 9:15 AM CVG
08/18/20 4:37 PM 73H
Daily
NA / NA F4 D4 P0 I0 U0 A0 Y4 Z4 S4 B4 M4 H4 Q4 L4 V4 K4 G0 T0 R0 X4 N4 W0 E4

I've never seen AS list all fare buckets limiting at 4.

Checked another city pair and it was 7 (like usual).

Refreshed my results and showed 7 for the CVG results.

Code:
 AS 110 0 ANC
08/18/20 12:45 AM SEA
08/18/20 5:15 AM 73J
Daily
NA / NA F7 D7 P0 I0 U0 A0 Y7 Z7 S7 B7 M7 H7 Q7 L7 V7 K7 G7 T7 R0 X7 N7 W7 E0

AS 402 0 SEA
08/18/20 9:15 AM CVG
08/18/20 4:37 PM 73H
Daily
NA / NA F7 D7 P0 I0 U0 A0 Y7 Z7 S7 B7 M7 H7 Q7 L7 V7 K7 G0 T0 R0 X7 N7 W0 E0
The return was even more strange:

Code:
1 Connections
AS 403 0 CVG
08/21/20 5:45 PM SEA
08/21/20 7:45 PM 73H
Daily
NA / NA F4 D4 P7 I0 U0 A0 Y4 Z4 S4 B4 M4 H4 Q4 L4 V4 K4 G4 T0 R0 X4 N4 W0 E4

AS 119 0 SEA
08/21/20 9:15 PM ANC
08/21/20 11:54 PM 73J
Daily
NA / NA F4 D4 P0 I0 U0 A0 Y4 Z4 S4 B4 M4 H4 Q4 L4 V4 K4 G4 T4 R4 X4 N4 W7 E4

Guessing I found a strange easter egg.

FWIW, SEA/CVG still shows as bookable starting Aug. 18, but since beckoa posted screenshots on Mar 23, prices have dropped a fair bit: SEA>CVG from $329 Main/$479 FC then to $234 Main/$389 FC tonight. And CVG>SEA, Main is $164.

I'm almost but not quite back to what I said on March 7th:

What happens if a new routing doesn't happen after all? Does AS just give you back your money/points and say See Ya or do they help rebook you on someone else?

I was able to cancel a DL flight to CVG and book on AS (for a lot less) but now I'm nervous that wasn't the best idea.

My guess is you would be offered a refund or the ability to change to CMH or IND. I doubt you would be rebooked on someone else.

In the past when AS has discontinued service to a market, they've had to book people on a different carrier.

Let's hope neither of these scenarios come to pass. We'd rather fly right to where we want to be on our favorite airline, it's just such a crazy time right now.

Well that didn't take long...5 days after booking AS has cancelled our September flights - looks like they won't be starting the CVG service after all.

Back to the drawing board.

It wasn't covered under CARES Act, so not too surprising. DL still has SEA-CVG restarting on June 2nd (red-eye) with 21-day advance V fares for $133.10 in BE and $168.10 for main cabin one-way (Tue/Wed flights are $5 cheaper).

Bummer....I had actually considered booking one of those inaugural flights since it was in August. I haven't checked my upcoming flights (booked through November)....was there a big schedule change last night?

I got an e-mail that manual assistance was needed, and when I checked to see what was going on all the AS flights were gone, just combos with AA (like in the past - and of course for my dates/YMMV). So I just cancelled the whole thing and I'm now in limbo deciding what to do - we may or may not even want to rebook. Wish I had a crystal ball as to where the world will be in September.

This really blows. I was looking at a job not far from CVG and I was counting on this service

It makes me sad to see all of our hard work in growing the airline being wasted and plans for expansion being postponed but I feel that it will be just a matter of time, and maybe not as long as some are predicting, before Alaska starts growing again. CVG will see AS planes one day.
