Fri 24 Jan—AS482 (1320 departure) SEA-LAX
  • parking at the Doubletree was a massive cluster; we missed the 1220 shuttle bus and wound up taking an Uber which arrived at 1242 (approx when the next shuttle would have been leaving)
  • got to the gate ~T-25 to find boarding almost complete and roller bags being gate-checked; fortunately there was still space in several closed bins in F
  • ”Alaskan Glacial” water bottles at seats
  • Brandi introduced herself to us when offering a tray of glasses with either orange juice or sparkling wine (we each took a wine, and poured half of an orange juice into each one)

Currently sitting on AS322 SEA-SJC while boarding finishes enjoying a glass of sparkling wine. FC offered OJ or mimosa and I asked him to hold the orange juice on my mimosa.
Little bottle of Dasani at seat when boarding but as I’m trying to reduce plastic bottle waste and filled up my collapsible bottle at the lounge, I asked him to take mine back.

there was a delay in starting boarding, perhaps thatís why we had no PDB offered. The baby water bottle was at my seat.

Water at seat. No PDB. FA took drink and food orders while on the ground, so should have had time to do a PDB. We definitely had some slow time where the FAs were all just chatting with each other. Ended up pushing back early. FA was nice and attentive the rest of the flight.

i was handed a baby water bottle upon boarding. And then when boarding was complete we were offered our choice of POG or a POG mimosa. My seatmate and I opted for the latter. Most people took nothing.

time for takeoff (-:

baby water bottle was at my seat. First PDB was sparkling wine, second one was orange juice. 3D accepted sparkling wine and then exchanged it (!) for orange juice on the second pass.

they always call it champagne. I think I just have to get over not liking that they do that.

Water bottle at seat. Fantastic FA (Shelby) offered OJ, Sparkling, or Mimosa, with a smile.

It takes so little to get a flight off to a great start, especially when going on vacation. Positive feedback sent.

3 RT SFO-PDX trips this month.
5 mainline segments.
1 SkyWest.
Only segment with anything other than Dasani was SKW.
Just sayin!

PDB of sparkling wine, OJ offered so it was mimosa time. Water bottle at the seat and we were asked if we wanted to keep it (nice touch since I usually bring my own bottle and drink sparkling water at meals).
