Route: SAN-PVR Flight Number: 276 Departure time: 0825 Menu: No Meal description (if given) Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack: Breakfast Snack basket offered (Y/N): Y Choices in F were identical to what was for purchase in coach. In fact, our food reservation followed us when we were upgraded (although we were given the option to change it). Choices were Protein Platter or a breakfast sandwich with thick-cut bacon, egg, and a chorizo sauce on something like a ciabatta roll. They heated and plated it with grapes and apple slices. It was passable, but meager given a 2:50 flight. They also served the smoothie (cranberry? Strawberry? Apple?) Coffee and OJ offered as PDB. |

only on the "premium long hauls" I believe, which are almost all transcons. I don't think mints are on the midcon flights. I may be wrong though... my experiences are primarily long haul flights.

Can’t remember last flight where I wasn’t offered mints. Mostly midcon flights seattle to ORD or other Midwest flights. Also frequent SEA to LAX or SNA.

Route: JFK-SFO Flight Number: AS627 Departure time: 9:30am Menu: yes Meal description: breakfast Snack basket offered: yes Same winter menu introduced last month, that has already been posted in the 2019 thread. However, an update from my flight: in the 2019 thread, people were asking why F&C didn't appear as a pre-order option with this menu. On my flight, F&C again was not a pre-order option in the app. However, for the first time I've seen, the FA when taking food orders was proactively offering F&C platters to passengers who didn't seem interested in either entree option. 3/12 passengers in the cabin took him up on the offer. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d2c66fc1f5.jpg |
I was on AS1021 BUR-SEA on Saturday, seated in row 6.
It's been a long time since I've had an F Upgrade on this route, but as I've documented here in the past, F breakfast on this flight where the plane spends the night at Burbank has been, historically, a non-standard breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito. Due to catering limitations, this food comes down the previous night and is stored in a cold box somewhere at the airport, then warmed up the next morning. Comments have been made before that the standard "cold breakfast" of granola, etc would look better than this reheated thing and it was puzzling why AS is not choosing that options for this route. As I was in 6, I did hear the F F/A introduce the breakfast, and they have transitioned to a cold breakfast of the standard granola offering for all F guests on this route. |
SBA-SEA
AS477 737-800 Lunch Another in the parade of chicken sandwiches. This one had cheese and what appeared to be caramelized onion. The other choice was a protein plate. I enjoyed it with a double Woodford mule. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a7f1fe5b05.jpg Bonus shot of misty Seattle. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...48da72d9e5.jpg |
SEA-DEN
AS696 737-900 Dinner The flight attendant SEA-SBA advised me that the pasta option served ex-SEA had a lot of squash and did not look very good, so I had another chicken sandwich; this version had pesto and roasted red pepper. No problem; I enjoyed it as well, this time with some Browne Family Tribute red (delicious, IMHO). https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...6da7fcd8f1.jpg |
