Good news. I will monitor my flights and see if I can move from FI to BA in late April.

So you don’t think AS is defrauding their customers?

I’m not in a position to know, but I wouldn’t be worried about $8.

$408 (difference between what AS is charging and AA is charging in "fees" for the exact same BA flight).
See post #61 .

I’m aware of post number 61. Don’t see how AA’s price has anything to do with what Alaska is charging for surcharges that BA defines. Other than looking like a better (less bad) deal, that is.

The difference is that AA thinks the carrier imposed surcharge on that flight is $250, not $650 (which is what AS and BA say it is).

I agree. Why AA thinks that is the more interesting mystery.

On Matrix ITA it shows YQ is $650 on BOS-LHR. Why AA is charging less is a mystery(maybe because AA has a history of charging more YQ than it should so it has learned from its lessons?)

Which is why it's hard for me to go "ZOMG ALASKA IS RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!11!!". It seems more likely that AA has the YQ wrong (IOW this is an error fare, award variety). So... spend your AA miles on BA J/F and profit from their error?

The error is not with AS, but with AA. I wouldn't talk about it too long on here and book it using AA miles before they correct the YQ.

THEY ARE BACK! It appears availability has reverted back to historic levels.
