Could you please elaborate a little further on putting a trouble ticket in? I have never heard of this term, nor this process. And how did doing this resolve the issue with JL award bookings? (how long did it take management/IT to solve this, other details etc.)
Many thanks!

Just got an EF notification alert about saver award availability for a transatlantic fligh. I immediately checked and it was only showing on BA.com, but NOT on AA.com or Alaskaair.com.

EDIT: it's showing in AsiaMiles.com

Also, what's the deal? Award flights on BA have increased to 50k for coach and 70k for business, as seen in December 2020 availability. AS miles being devalued again! When will this stop.

While the impact may be limited, I would encourage writing into AS noting that the dimunition of availability of these rewards reduces your inclination to fly Alaska. If you have an AS CC, even better. Availability is extremely poor even as BA sells heavily discounted C/F seats for cash.

I've been noticing some weird things, but only in reverse...

If I search on BA BLQ-PDX on 11/15 it shows me one available in J

I run the same search on AS for the same thing, it shows me four available.........

Whoops my bad, it's just the destination to JNB. When did that happen? We booked it a couple years ago for the standard European rate of 60k in J.

Second BA onward flight to Africa/India/ME has always been extra miles for a very long time.

I suspect AS charged you the wrong rate if you called in. That happens.

Both coach? Because when I checked BLQ-PDX on AS for 11/15 I get mixed cabin, BLQ-LHR in J but LHR-PDX in Y. Is that not what you are getting from AS?

Oh SOB, you're right! They are sneaky with how they show that.

Ok, so another data point now I know what to look for..

11/15 and 16...

BLQ-LHR-YVR on BA is five one day and I think seven anothet....AS zilch.

This little discovery is really annoying...cost me 500 bucks!
