OMG. This is DISGUSTING.

On the red-eye flight in first. Was sleeping then a strong smell made me wake up. Yes, someone’s dog pooped in the aisle… almost threw up at that time. Flight attendant sprayed something, then poured grounded coffee to cover the smell... I tried my best to sleep again but just couldn’t... really want to take a shower after landing but I’m pretty sure that’s something out of my own pocket

Sh*t happens sometimes. At least it wasn’t the pilot 😀

And yet another reminder of why you should always wear shoes when you walk around the plane!

I had a dog do it on my shoe in row 1. The dog's owner was a nonrev mother of an American Airlines pilot. No apology but she wipe off my shoe.

Alaska gave me 2,500 miles.

I did take one photo... (not the poop but how they finally used some sort of diapers to cover that) - no apologies from the dog owner.

Originally I thought the smell came out of the restroom but then realized .... was so close to me.

I would hope that nonrev privileges would be lost after someone flying nonrev causes an incident like this.

Exactly why pets should not be allowed to fly in cabin.

You should take pics and publicly shame everyone involved. That's the only way this insanity will end.

Yikes! Glad you got some compensation for that. Though I have to question how a non-rev relative of an employee of another airline gets into first class on a non-rev ticket. Was it an empty flight? I think a fair number of elites would be less than happy to be bumped for that.

As they say - "only in America" - Most of these animals are just household pets for their emotional owners. 3000 emotional support animals fly every day in America. Most of the world laugh at these shenanigans. A plane will return to the gate if a 2 year old wiill not stay seated for take off but are fine with a 100 lb dog flying around a cabin in turbulence.

I say buckle them up (with a paid seat, a seat protector and a cleaning deposit) or put them in a cage in the hold.

Let the hate responses begin!

Unless there was an issue w/ upgrades, or some direct action taken by a GA to clear them there, they'd be eligible for an upgrade after all elites and non-rev employees traveling had cleared into F. Since they're flying standby, theoretically it would be harder to take advantage of an upgrade processor failure, but I'm sure not entirely impossible if they'd already received a seat assignment.
