It's probably got to do with the new logics of prohibiting stopover intra-asia?

Yes I also found this problem. I made a call to AS and the Rep seemed like known nothing about this problem. I hope it can be resolved soon...

AA.com also seems to not be returning any JL search results, at least ex-LAX and ex-SAN, the latter of which usually is a relatively easy route to find some JL space.

The "right way" does not work. Reporting a problem to AS should be the right way but that has failed miserably for other IT problems in the past.

The most effective way is to get the attention of a high profile news reporter who will publicize the problem and who can get high level contacts inside AS to follow up on the story and sometimes that is enough to shame AS into fixing it.

Good for AS IT. I guess there is a little hope for them.

Actually, I think this ultimately was an issue on JAL's side. I was able to see a seat I was eyeing on BA last night but nowhere else, suddenly it's showing back up on AS/AA now.

I have doubts that it was JAL. Some partners were working and some were not. BA was working. AA and AS had issues. Someone speculated that it was a GDS issue. Amadeus not communicating inventory to Sabre.

I tried a booking via AS website just now, and it appears the JAL award flights are now showing.

Good to know this was not a permanent or long term issue.

AS obviously uses Sabre for reservation bookings and DCS but all website inventory searches & pricing including award pricing (website, apps, and call center) uses ITA by Google. So so whatever the problem was, it wasn't a pricing problem with Sabre.

Isn't ITA just a front end to the GDS's that the airlines use. ITA isn't a GDS on its own is it? Otherwise AS wouldn't need both. The point being that the AS ITA probably accesses Sabre for inventory.

ITA actually is for inventory... Sabre has its own but ITA integrates more NDC/IATA Type X messaging.
