Change roundtrip after outbound

I am aware that there is a $125 change fee applicable unless one is MVP Gold/75K. The question here is about the fare difference calculation.

I understand that for entirely unused ticket, it will be repriced at the time of change as if it were purchased that time, which subjects to advance booking requirement, etc. However, if the outbound is flown and the fare is priced with roundtrip pricing unit ( with minimum/max stay requirement etc.), it will be repriced as if it were purchased on the original ticketing date, not the actual change date.

Here comes the question: for most domestic roundtrip fare, it consists of two one-way pricing units (and thus equal to two one-ways bought separately). In particular, if the outbound is flown and one needs to change the return date, how will the fare difference be calculated? If the same booking class is available on the new flight, would the fare difference be 0?
