Earning Alaska miles on a international AA flight
I am sure someone else already asked this but I can not for the life of me find the same question. Here is my situation:
Flying: PDX-PHX-PVR all on AA. I know i dont get Alaska miles on PDX-PHX so i want to put my AA # for that section but for the second leg I would like to earn Alaska miles. Whats the best way to make this happen? any tips are appreciated.

Sure way is not to have a ffn in the reservation and then retro claim after the flights.
You could phone as and ask to put different ffn's in different segments. Been reports of this working/not working.
Finnair "manage booking" may work. Works with many reservations
