BUR-SJC Discontinued as of 11/5/2019

I was counting on it for maintaining MVPG. Happened within last 6 days or so. Multiple daily flights will be sorely missed.

If only there were a site that cataloged all these changes :)

Looks like WN is 12x daily on this route. Pretty amazing. That's tough to compete with.

When Main Cabin fares are sometimes available for $40, and the F premium gets as low as +$15, that’s a pretty good sign the route is on life support.

....

Thanks. I didn't know about that site. I learned something.

I have been properly accused of and I proudly do not follow earnings calls. I won't be following that site cataloging changes.

I am more of an Average Joe Consumer. I shop for and buy tickets.

Alaska basically can not compete with any intra-CA flights on frequency. With Southwest, obviously. If you aren't flying into LA or SF, that is.

How do you expect to be travelling BUR/SJC without the Alaska Airlines flights? SouthWest?

I almost always fly to BUR instead of LAX and haven't flown AS in over a year, even those this route was a very easy upgrade. WN has something like 30 dailies SFO/OAK/SJC to BUR, JSX has another 6 to 7, and JSX also flies 3 a day from CCR. The only intra-CA I use AS for now in SFO-PSP. For all the advertising AS does in the Bay Area, you'd think they'd be a stronger competitor.
